Understanding Your Charts

How to read and interpret your progress charts and graphs

Your progress charts tell a story of improvement. Here's how to read them effectively and identify meaningful patterns.

Chart Elements Explained

  • Main Line: Your metric value over time (each point is one session)
  • Trend Line: The overall direction of your improvement (smoothed average)
  • Target Zone: The shaded area showing your goal range
  • Session Markers: Dots you can hover for detailed session info

Reading WPM Charts

For WPM, you want to see the line stabilizing in the 130-150 range for most speaking contexts. Very high or very low WPM can indicate rushing or hesitation.

Reading Filler Rate Charts

For filler rate, lower is better. A downward trend means you're successfully reducing filler words. Aim for under 3% for professional speaking.

Reading Confidence Charts

Confidence scores range from 1-10. Higher is better. This metric considers vocal steadiness, pace variation, and pause patterns.

Info

It's normal to see fluctuations. Focus on the trend line rather than individual sessions for the clearest picture of your progress.
